Nike’s focus on the female demographic of sneaker fanatics vacuumed in some select mid-late 1990s basketball retros like the Air Foamposite One, the bulky one-piece molded shoe that not five years ago was the single hottest silhouette out on the market. Women certainly gravitated towards the sneaker, but whether or not it expanded beyond its trendiness in urban markets is still up for debate. Still, the Swoosh is producing new colorways of the Eric Avar-designed model, with a new monochromatic Obsidian option with a shimmering glitter effect that some hardfore Foam fans will liken to the famed unreleased sample from 2012.
